Curious and Brave are proud to manufacture in Australia. Although advised to produce garments overseas at a lower cost, we choose to manufacture our garments in Newcastle.

Through our commitment to Australian pattern making and manufacturing, Curious and Brave provides ongoing work, Australian wage rates, job security and safe working conditions to our makers, most of whom are women.

It also ensures a high-quality product as we can monitor the quality of our garments and materials to ensure it measures up to our high standards.

As well as being strong supporters of the local manufacturing industry, we’re also committed to the Support Local campaign.

The Curious and Brave boutique is located in the community-minded suburb of New Lambton and employs friendly and dedicated locals.

In addition to our own Curious and Brave clothing label, we also stock a range of Australian made clothing, beauty, accessories & art. These designers range from those based in cities like Sydney and Melbourne to those in regional areas in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. No matter where they’re based, we strongly support these Australian makers.

We also are committed to buying local and supporting eateries and shops near us as well as engaging local small businesses to support Curious and Brave. From our carpenter and caterer to our accountant and marketing consultant, we firmly believe in investing in our local communities.
